How Dipti Lost 35 lbs and Rebuilt Her Confidence After Motherhood
After completing her family and welcoming her second child, Dipti Kapadia reached a moment where she knew it was time to focus on herself again.
Like many mothers, the years surrounding pregnancy and early parenthood had shifted her priorities almost entirely toward her family. While she had previously been in great shape, getting back there now felt much harder than it once did.
Dipti wanted more than just weight loss. She wanted to feel confident again, understand how to fuel her body properly, and build a lifestyle that supported both her health and her family.
As she approached her late thirties, she had a clear vision for the future. She wanted to move into the next chapter of her life in the best shape of her life, both physically and mentally.
But first, she needed to figure out what had been missing.
Why “Eating Clean” Was Not Working
One of Dipti’s biggest frustrations was that she already believed she was doing the right things.
She ate relatively clean, exercised, and pushed herself during workouts. Yet the results she wanted simply were not happening. Over time, this led to the common feeling that many people experience when trying to lose weight.
It began to feel like the only way to make progress was to eat less and less.
Dipti had previously experimented with different approaches like intermittent fasting and popular diet systems, but the same pattern always appeared. Restrictive dieting would work temporarily, but it was never sustainable long term.
Cutting out foods like carbs or sugar only made the process harder to maintain and often led to weight regain.
What she really wanted was something different. She wanted to understand how to eat in a way that supported fat loss without feeling like she had to starve herself.

Rebuilding Her Relationship With Food and Fitness
When Dipti joined KMAK Fitness in February 2023, the focus shifted away from restriction and toward structure.
Instead of eliminating food groups, she began following a balanced nutrition plan built around proper macronutrients. This helped restore consistency in her eating habits while allowing her to still enjoy the foods she loved.
At the same time, her training approach evolved.
Weightlifting became a central part of her routine, helping her build strength and reshape her body in a way that traditional dieting alone never could. Alongside her workouts, she stayed consistent with daily movement, maintaining a goal of 10,000 steps per day.
Equally important was the coaching support she received along the way.
Dipti often describes how valuable it was to have an experienced coach who could provide both honest feedback and encouragement. The combination of accountability, guidance, and regular check ins helped her stay focused even during challenging weeks.

127 Weeks of Consistency
Dipti’s journey was not built on quick fixes.
Over approximately 127 weeks, she steadily committed to the process and focused on building habits she could sustain long term.
When she first began her postpartum journey, she weighed around 170 pounds. By the time she joined KMAK, she had already brought that number down to 145 pounds, but felt stuck and unsure how to move forward.
Through consistent training, balanced nutrition, and ongoing coaching support, Dipti lost another 35 pounds, bringing her down to 110 pounds by the time of her transformation photoshoot in July 2025.
The number on the scale told only part of the story.
Along the way, she gained strength, energy, and a completely new sense of confidence in her body.

Health Improvements Beyond the Scale
One of the most meaningful parts of Dipti’s transformation was how dramatically her overall health improved.
Before beginning her journey, she struggled with health markers such as low iron and vitamin D levels. Over time, these markers improved significantly as her nutrition and lifestyle became more consistent.
Her doctor also noted a major improvement in her cholesterol levels, which dropped to the lower end of the healthy range.
Beyond the numbers, Dipti noticed something even more important in her daily life.
She felt more energetic as a mother, more capable in her workouts, and more present in every aspect of her routine. The habits she built through the program became second nature, and healthy movement and balanced eating started to feel like something she genuinely craved.

The Confidence She Had Been Looking For
For Dipti, the transformation was not just physical.
Body image had been something she struggled with since her teenage years, and motherhood had added another layer of complexity to how she saw herself.
Even something as simple as taking progress photos at the beginning of the program felt intimidating. She had not worn sleeveless clothing in years and felt anxious about stepping outside of her comfort zone.
But over time, that confidence began to grow.
By the end of her journey, Dipti was not only proud of the physical changes she had achieved, but also of the mindset she had built along the way.
She learned to be less critical of herself, to celebrate progress, and to appreciate the strength her body had developed.
Most importantly, she discovered that taking time to invest in herself allowed her to show up better for the people who mattered most.
In her words, the process helped her become a better version of herself and a better mom.
