How Dr. Krunal Beat Rising Cholesterol, Years of Plateaus, & Came Out 47 lbs Lighter
The Gap Between Effort and Results
Dr. Krunal Jethwa is a 39 year old pediatrician in Atlanta with three young kids, long hospital hours, and a social life that never really slows down. He plays basketball, he trains regularly, and he has never been someone who needed convincing to show up to a gym. What he didn’t have was the physique to match the effort.
“I exercise regularly but have never been able to get the physique that I wanted,” he said. His cholesterol and blood pressure had started creeping up. The energy he needed to get through a full day of patients and then be present for his family at night was starting to feel harder to find.

What He Actually Wanted
Krunal’s goals weren’t complicated. He wanted to feel comfortable taking his shirt off in public. He wanted to get rid of the gut and the man boobs he’d been carrying for years. And he wanted a nutritional approach that would actually hold up, not another short-term fix he’d fall off of in a month.

The Real Obstacle Was Never the Gym
Krunal was already self motivated in the gym. The struggle lived somewhere else entirely: consistency around food. Eating what his plan called for while the rest of his family ate something different. Frequent vacations. Eating out with three kids in tow. Summers when his mother-in-law did most of the cooking at home, which made hitting his macros and calories a genuine challenge. He didn’t need someone to hand him a workout. He needed a plan flexible enough to survive real life.

Building a Plan That Actually Fit His Life
The work started with meal prepping food that he and his wife could actually enjoy eating, not just tolerate. He wanted to understand what his body needed to stay lean, not just follow instructions blindly. And underneath the food changes was a mindset shift: learning to see his body differently instead of carrying the same frustration he’d shown up with.
That plan got tested constantly, on trips, at social events, at restaurants with three kids at the table. Krunal learned to navigate all of it with autonomy. He now knows how and what to order when eating out with his family, without treating every meal outside the house like a setback.

The Coach Behind the Plan
Krunal credits a lot of that consistency to his coach, Ajay. He describes Ajay as someone who actually paid attention, who adjusted the plan around his real week instead of expecting his real week to bend around the plan. That kind of coaching is what made a flexible approach to eating actually stick instead of falling apart the first time a trip or a family dinner got in the way.

47 Pounds Down and Abs on the Beach
Krunal dropped 47 lbs and landed in the best shape of his life. He had abs on vacation, on the beach, in front of everyone he used to feel self-conscious in front of. His training, his habits, and his overall physique all improved together. His game on the basketball court sharpened right along with it.

What’s Next
Krunal isn’t done. He’s now focused on improving his athletic performance further, and he’s set his sights on a triathlon next year. The gut and the guesswork are gone. What’s left is a body and a routine built to keep going.
