How Dr. Anup Proved That Even a Busy Physician Can Get 6-Pack Abs
A hospital physician, working alternating weeks on and off, managing high cholesterol, and raising a young child…
Anup had everything stacked against him.
Even to the point that he’d long since accepted his body for what he thought it would always be – skinny fat.
He fully believed no matter what he did, he’s always have a classic Indian guy physique that didn’t build muscle easily, carried fat around the midsection, and stayed that way no matter what he tried.
That’s despite the fact he’d been working out since college, keeping a fairly healthy diet to manage his cholesterol, and had maintained roughly the same body frame for eight to ten years.
But over the last two years, fat had been creeping around Anup’s waist and stomach to the point it was denting his self-esteem.
His waist was the worst it had ever been in his life, and despite eating clean and trying to establish workout routines, nothing was changing. The stubborn belly fat just continued to cling on.
But there was a problem.
Anup was stuck in a frustratingly predictable pattern. He’d start a routine during his week off, working out four to six times, feeling motivated and committed. Then his work week would hit, he’d be at the hospital seven days straight, and his workouts would drop to zero.
After his first child was born in 2021, that inconsistency only got worse. Any parent knows that once you have a kid, you say goodbye to sleep!
The frustrating part was that Anup wasn’t some couch potato looking for a quick fix. He’d maintained a healthy lifestyle for over a decade, worked out regularly when he could, and kept his diet incredibly clean to manage his cholesterol. He had the discipline and the desire. What he didn’t have was results, and that gap between effort and outcome was eating at him.

The Gap Between Motivation And Results
Anup may have had all the components to achieve the lean, 6-pack fit-dad look he wanted, but he lacked a protocol that actually fitted in with his life as a busy doctor. The time commitment to nail week after week just felt impossible with his alternating work schedule.
So despite every effort to maintain consistent workout routine to melt away the fat around his midsection, he kept falling into the same cycle of starting strong during his weeks off and watching it all fall apart the moment he stepped back into the hospital.
How do you build consistency when your schedule swings between seven days straight at the hospital and seven days off? You don’t.
What Anup needed was help to optimize his schedule so he could shred fat without needing to spend hours in the gym, or doing tons of cardio, or even meal prepping several times a week.
What Anup needed was team KMAK!

Building Consistency In An Impossible Schedule
When Anup joined KMAK in April, he knew the biggest obstacle would be maintaining consistency through his rotating work weeks.
But one of the biggest challenges turned out to be something he hadn’t anticipated as much. Sleep! When you’re a physician and a dad with young kids, sleep feels like a luxury you can’t afford. There’s always dishes to do, chores to finish, responsibilities piling up that eat into those precious hours.
Meaning Anup was always exhausted whenever he had time for himself. If you’ve been in that position, you know how easy it is to skip a workout or grab the easiest thing to eat.
But KMAK coach Max didn’t just tell him what to do and move on. He understood Anup’s schedule and worked with him to find practical solutions that actually fit his life. The constant back and forth through the app meant Anup always had support, even during his most chaotic weeks.
“I really like just the constant, you know, back and forth with the texting on the app. Max is always around to answer my questions, even on the weekends.”

Proving What He Thought His Body Couldn’t Do
With such a high level of support and a plan designed around his chaotic schedule, Anup finally started seeing the changes he’d been chasing for years.
The fat around his waist that had been bothering him melted away. He built the muscle definition he wanted throughout his body and developed the toned pectoral area and physique he’d been after. But most importantly, he established the cardiovascular health habits he needed for his long term wellbeing.
Anup also proved to himself that his genetics weren’t the limitation he’d always believed they were. That body type he thought was just how Indian guys were built responds to proper training and nutrition just like anyone else’s when you have the right protocol in place – the KMAK protocol!
“I think anyone can do it; it’s just having the motivation and the consistency and just sticking with it, honestly.”
Beyond the physical results, Anup gained something even more valuable for a busy physician and father. He learned how to stay consistent with exercise while managing a demanding work schedule and family life. He figured out how to maintain his training even during those seven-day hospital stretches.
The guilt and frustration of constantly falling off track disappeared. So did the stress of failing at his own health while helping others with theirs. He finally had control.
That was the habit he most wanted to change, and he actually did it.

Living The Example He Wants To Set
Looking back on his journey, Anup’s perspective on what’s possible completely shifted.
What he tells people who are hesitant to sign up comes from someone who genuinely didn’t think his body could transform the way it did.
“What I would tell people that are hesitant to sign up is really just think about what your goal is and what you want to achieve. And if you want, like, lifelong strength and kind of consistency, and set a good example of health for your family, I mean, this is what you want to do.”
For Anup, this went beyond a short term transformation. He built the foundation for lifelong health so he could be the husband and father his wife and kids needed.
And now, the physician who thought the classic Indian guy physique was unchangeable, had proven to himself that with the right protocol and support, he could have the defined abs, toned chest, and lean muscle mass he’d been chasing since college.

Ready To Prove What Your Body Is Actually Capable Of?
If you’ve been stuck thinking your genetics, your schedule, or your body type is holding you back from the transformation you want, you’re not alone. Anup believed the same thing for years.
The difference between staying stuck and actually transforming comes down to having a plan that fits your real life, not some idealized version of it, and having the accountability to stick with it even when life gets chaotic.
You don’t need more motivation. You need a structure that works and a coaching team who are there to help you navigate the obstacles.
